For patients prescribed Mulpleo

Helping you along your treatment journey with Mulpleo (lusutrombopag)

Mulpleo is indicated for the treatment of severe thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic liver disease undergoing invasive procedures.

Survey Patient

You have been prescribed Mulpleo for the treatment of your low platelet count (thrombocytopenia), a complication associated with your chronic liver disease, ahead of your scheduled procedure. A Mulpleo patient information leaflet can be found inside the Mulpleo pack and through the link at the top of each page of this website. Please read the complete leaflet carefully.

What are platelets and why are they important?

When you are cut or hurt, platelets bunch together to form a plug to stop you from bleeding or bruising. They are a type of cell that are made in the bone marrow and move around the bloodstream. If your platelet count is low, you may be at a greater risk of bleeding.

Thrombocytopenia is a condition where your blood contains fewer platelets than normal, and this is common in people with chronic liver disease.
